A beautiful piece of Black Forest stand carved from lime wood. The craft was used as an aid for putting on riding boots. This beautiful stand illustrates a bear with open arms and has a beautiful floral design.

This piece was made by professional wood carvers from the area of Oberland Switzerland, where wood carving is still practiced as an ancient craft to this day. The items are intact and in excellent condition.
